Screenwriter and Executive Producer Wayne Dees has been a clinical neuropsychologist for the past 20 years, currently semi-retired. Neuropsychology is a specialized branch of psychology, concerned with how a person’s cognition and behavior are related to the brain and nervous system. It was his work in this field that inspired Wayne to write the screenplay for “Altered Perceptions.”

He has previously written two screenplays, “Déjà vu” and “Strangers in the Night” and co-wrote and produced a musical comedy in Los Angeles, “Alice in Hollywood” with Alex Forrester (RIP).

Wayne initially met director Jorge Ameer while working in Los Angeles in the mid-1990’s on the film, “California Myth” starring Tyrone Power Jr. and John Posey. They reconnected 25 years later after Wayne watched the award-winning film, “The Family Tree,” which Jorge wrote and directed.
